Business: Laura Little- “Not Every Entrepreneur is a Millionaire.”

Laura Little Guest BloggerGuest Post: by Laura Little of LivingLauraLittle.com

I’m trying to think of the best way to broach this topic, and frankly I’m having trouble, so I’ll just come out and say it…

Not every Entrepreneur is a Millionaire, and not every Entrepreneur will be a Millionaire, and you don’t need to be a Millionaire or know any Millionaires to be an Entrepreneur.

Phew!

Consider this post to be the encouragement you need to start your business, grow an idea, or to just take the first step of writing down what it is you want to do.

The likelihood of any of us being the next Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) is very very tiny, but the likelihood of any of us daring to become independent and form business and creative ideas is much more likely.

When we  think or hear the word “entrepreneur” or “business” perhaps we don’t automatically associate ourselves, but we should. We cannot all be destined for fame and riches, but we can carve out a nice living for ourselves and create the life we want to lead doing the things that make us happy.

Take my father, for example- the perfect illustration of a hidden entrepreneur. He has had a private accountancy practice for well over 20 years, (and is somewhere in his 50s), and out of the blue he decided he wanted to open a Bubble Tea store. Bubble Tea! He knew nothing about Bubble Tea or retail but decided he wanted a change, and now his store is in its 2nd year and blossoming beautifully. Our family is not filthy rich, he had no investors, he just found a way to put it together. I am so proud of him! Will he ever be a millionaire? Probably not but he’s learning a new industry, meeting tons of people, and enjoying the process of growing personally and professionally.

When I’ve been asked why I started my businesses my answer is always the same- because I want to control my own future. I don’t want to have my future decided by someone else, the responsibility of my achievements, mistakes, monetary gain, success is all down and on me.

Entrepreneur Millionaire

Entrepreneurs live here (sometimes). -Laura

I like it that way.

If you’re reading the above and are thinking “I want that”, then you’re ready to start getting your entrepreneur on. I can’t promise you’ll be a millionaire, but I can promise it will be an amazing journey.

  • Really appreciate this kind of post. It gets tough as an entrepreneur, so it helps to know that I’m not in this alone. Cheers!
