T. Style & The City: Strolls of the French Quarter- New Orleans

New Orlean’s undiscovered streets, sweet treats and good eats compliment a southern charm that- besides the heat- does the soul more good than harm.

An internationally famous city named after the Duke of Orleans, who reigned as Regent for Louis XV from 1715 to 1723, as it was established by French colonists and strongly influenced by their European culture. Well-known for its distinct French and Spanish Creole architecture, as well as its cross-cultural and multilingual heritage, New Orleans is also famous for its cuisine, live music & Jazz, and its annual celebrations and festivals, most famously Mardi Gras, dating to French colonial times.

New Orleans is a place of  unique, comforting cuisine, vibrant colors, and cross-cultural art. Discovering NOLA is inexpescable. My grandmother was born and raised here- it’s been my second home since I were a kid. -Tony Triumph

As my maternal grandmother was born and raised in this city, I’ve been a regular visitor since childhood. Thanks to a family wedding this past weekend, tradition landed me back to these roots of glorious art, architecture, and culture that I’ve been apart of since I were a wee little thing.

Paying homage to it’s French roots and my love for the Parisian lifestyle, I teamed up with a local New Orleans photographer to capture my recent experience of Nawlins’ sights, sounds, and soul.
