Your dogs are part of the family, and all they want to do is spend some time with you too. It may seem like a struggle to find dog-friendly places to take your furry companions along but no need to have that struggle any longer. Whilst London may be a huge city that is fast-paced and may not always seem like the right place for a dog at times, there are certainly various exciting things you can do with your dogs in this big city. To help you along the way, we’ve found some for you to enjoy different experiences with your furry friend.
Go boat, London
Why not opt for a boating adventure with your furry companion? Go boat is an experience you can enjoy with family and friends and your dogs. Essentially you are going to be your captain, they shouldn’t disturb your dogs due to the noiseless electric engine. The boats hired out can be self-drive options taking you across Paddington, Little Venice, and Regents Canal. All you need to do is choose the route you want. Eight people can accompany you, not so bad for things to do with your dog. From an ethical perspective, Go boat does quite well as the boats are made from recycled plastic and the wood is sustainably sourced.

Rooftop Cinema (Bussey Building)
Do you want to be able to watch the films you want but also with your dog?
Well, you definitely can do that with the seasonal rooftop film club based in Peckham from recent releases to old film classics. Dogs can attend all the screenings so no need to worry about whether they can join you or not. It’s always great fun when they can join you when heading out without having to be left at home all of the time. It’s also great for their socialisation skills. Often the worries surrounding attending cinemas with dogs fall into the volume sensitivity especially when dogs have sensitive hearing. Well, you’ll be happy to know that it’s a silent cinema and you get headphones to listen to your film, so no need to worry.

Dog walks at Highgate Wood
Your four-legged friend loves their walks and in London, there are many areas to take them to especially if you want to escape to the countryside. This scenic location blooms to be purple with the bluebells they have. Being in such an ancient woodland is the place to be when going for dog walks as you can spend time there in the woods. It’s probably best to keep your dog on its lead just because it does get pretty busy. If you also have children you’ll be happy to know that they have a playground for the kids to play so it’s perfect to entertain both. For yourself, you’ll be able to benefit from the toilet and cafe facilities so it truly can become a great family day out.
