A peek into Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio’s gorgeous California home

As one of the world’s sexiest women, one of Victoria’s Angels and one of the highest-earning fashion models for years, Alessandra Ambrosio has been on every haute couture runway you could think of. After 17 years she said goodbye to her modeling days and has now created the perfect paradise for her and her children in Southern California. Spoiler alert: it’s absolutely gorgeous, as seen in Architecture Digest.

Ambrosio has lived in Los Angeles for over ten years, but eventually chose to settle down with her family near the ocean in Santa Monica. “I come from a small town in Brazil, and Santa Monica has a similar vibe. I had to be near the beach, someplace where you can feel and smell the ocean breeze,” she explains. She spent five years searching for the perfect spot for her family and the next five years fine-tuning the property to make it completely her own. With her ten-year-old daughter Anja and six-year-old son Noah in mind, she succeed in creating a lively, exotic and playful fantasy home. “I didn’t want anything too stiff or serious for the kids”, she says.

The 1920s residence echoes sunny Brazilian vibes and captures Ambrosio’s love affair with exotic places, color and life. After admiring the villa that celebrity designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard had decorated for actress Ellen Pompeo, she started working with him to give life to this awe-inspiring home. “I’d describe her style as Brazilian boho meets California rock ‘n’ roll,” Bullard quotes. “We wanted to do something that feels young and fresh, not just for the children but for Alessandra as well. She has an incredibly vivacious spirit.”

Still in awe, we think the result is truly gorgeous. Alessandra Ambrosio is definitely someone we would want to swap houses with (we wish!).
