On Wednesday, July 12th, the designer Heron Preston opened an installation in New York to continue the tour of his first full collection, For You. The launch was held at Patron of the New, a boutique in Tribeca just minutes away from the Men’s Fashion Week venue at Skylight Clarkson Square.
During last September’s Fashion Week, Preston collaborated with New York’s Department of Sanitation, advertising their campaign to send zero waste to landfills by 2030. The collection consisted of recycled and donated sanitation worker uniforms printed with Preston’s logo. His current collection is inspired by Preston’s work throughout his career, and items from his work with the DSNY are on display at Patron of the New with his current collection.
All pop-up stores along Heron Preston’s tour sell an exclusive graphic tee. Preston’s experience includes assisting Kanye West as a creative consultant for the Life of Pablo and Yeezy label, and working for Nike as a global digital producer. He has brought For New to pop-up stores in Paris, London, Moscow, and Milan, and after two weeks at Patron of the New, he will travel to Tokyo and Seoul. Preston sells his designs on the e-commerce trading platform HPC Trading Co.
