Fashion’s newest custom menswear brand launches in the United States as it opens its first ever showroom in New York City!
Settled into a luxurious and intimate midtown location, Steed & Wall invited a diverse, but elegant mix of influencers to the official launch of their NYC showroom. Entering the growing market of customized digs for well-dressed men (and women) who need a variety of suit options, Steed & Wall’s collection of luxury, custom men’s suits, blazers, shirts, and overcoats are ‘made-to-measure to your unique build’.
Hosted by GQ insider Benjamin Keino(far right), Steed & Wall‘s premiere event included a number of fashion industry insiders, stylist, and tastemakers.
Built from the ground-up by Financier Mindy Ding(not pictured), Steed & Wall is Ding’s vision to create top-quality, custom menswear at pocket pleasing price point.
Through the event, we did quite a bit of observing and learned that Steed & Wall’s suits range from $575 – $1,075, which overall, is not a bad investment for a customized creation. A seemingly large drop-down from Brioni‘s $6,000 price-tag at Barney’s, or even a $1,300 Givenchy brimming amongst the posh boutiques up & down Madison Avenue.
To offer custom suits at an accessible price point, I knew I needed to strip away the overhead that traditional fashion labels accrue with Madison Avenue storefronts, print advertising, and celebrity endorsements. Without these expenses, Steed & Wall can focus on delivering our customers suits made with top-quality fabrics and expert craftsmanship.” Mandy Ding, Founder Steed & Wall.
Stepping back from the large overhead that traditional fashion labels accrue with Madison Avenue storefronts, print advertising, and celebrity endorsements, by offering custom suits at an affordable price, Steed & Wall is able to bring top quality menswear straight to their clients. Triumphant Scoop approved, Steed & Wall’s business model makes perfect sense to us.
“I also know first-hand the premium that bankers put on their time, so I crafted an experience that would be both highly personalized and convenient, removing the hassle and expense that accompanies the traditional process of commissioning a custom-made suit. My goal was to make men more confident in what they wear to the board room,” explains Ding.
Equipped with a private oak bar, flat screen, suave, gentlemen-esque chairs, and signature, oak theming made the perfect setting for customers to enjoy complimentary cocktails while getting measured for a suit!
FYI, Steed & Wall offers complimentary fittings and style consultations in their showroom located at 21 W. 45th street, suite 302.
